SDVs (Self-Driving Vehicles) are the next evolutionary step in transporting goods within premises. With the help of laser-based perception and AI technology, they move around indoor premises in a dynamic fashion without the need for any additional infrastructure. AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots) combine the flexibility of human workforce with the high efficiency of machines and, thanks to controlled automation, present a safe alternative to conventional methods of transporting goods.
Medium- and regular-payload SDVs are used in plastics injection molding plants for the automatic performance of internal logistics processes. Unlike automated guided vehicles (AGVs), SDVs do not require any infrastructural investments when being integrated in injection molding plants.
Heavy-payload SDVs are also commonly used in CNC metalworking companies.

Palletization
Let the robot do the work for you. Palletization can be done with an industrial robot or a collaborative robot. Greater flexibility and shorter changeover times are achieved thanks to the built-in Vision System and integrated 3D safety sensor, which guarantees complete safety and is easy to use. You can opt for semi- or full automation of your production since the palletizing robot facilitates safe collaboration with people.
Palletization is a time-consuming step in the production process which essentially does nothing to add value. If this step requires the full engagement of a separate worker, it's a costly process at the end of the day. With robot-driven palletization, you will increase your efficiency, competitiveness and performance. One of the most common reasons for the automation of palletization is poor workplace ergonomics. Flexido offers systems with one or two pallet loading spots. Our cells can also be fitted with empty pallet storage racks, which allow automatic pallet feeding and yield higher operational autonomy of the cell as a result. At the outfeed from the cell, it is also possible to install an automatic pallet foil-wrapping unit. FLEXIDO cells' infeed and outfeed spots also allow automatic delivery and removal of pallets using self-driving SDVs. In addition to palletization, Flexido cells can also perform the depalletization (or pallet unloading) process.
Flexido palletization and depalletization cells are installed in warehouses, on filling lines in the processing industry and in the food industry and, coupled with SDVs, facilitateautomatic goods transport.
